Good but could be improved.

Ordered these for my brother for Christmas as he requested a pair of wooden sunglasses. Nice shades, but the arms should have flexible/spring loaded hinges to allow them to open out further without risk or breaking or bending the arms, this is helpful for people with wider heads also. I was scared to open them when they arrive it felt like they might break if I pulled the arms open too fast...

Thanks for your review Craig. You do not need to worry about the frame breaking at all. It's designed to be flexible and we deliberately did not fit spring hinges in this model as the frame and arms can flex to accommodate a wider face if needs be. We've fitted high quality optical hinges instead. At first these sunglasses may appear to be delicate, but the multi layer construction actually makes them the opposite. We've been able to create a slimline frame which can actually withstand a lot more rough treatment than a thicker full wood frame.

My Wildwood Yaletown sunglasses achieve and succeed all of the above! I LOVE them!!
Initially I purchased the Original frame, but when they came the frame just didn’t suit my face (too big). Customer service was super easy and friendly to deal with, I shipped them back and went with the Yaletown instead.
I’ve only had them for a week but so far so good!
Perfect fit! SUPER light! Love the wood finish! And no pinch points!
Worth the extra money to upgrade from the Original to the Yaletown but both are awesome.
I love that this is a 100% Canadian company, using ethically sourced products with a mission and values I support.

Sweet Shades

These fit perfectly and look amazing. They really give a cool beach/natural look which is definitely my style since I'm an east coast guy. The tint is just dark enough that people don't see your eyes from up close which is nice since I don't tend to go for the see-through look. I also wanna give a big shout out to Rod! He was super fast to reply and was very helpful. Great company to deal with and will most likely buy from there again. Recommending to my friends too

Exceeds my expectations

My order arrived much earlier than expected, especially due to the current pandemic challenges impacting shipments.
Incredibly comfortable frames manufactured from a sustainably managed forest, perfect. Makes me proud to move away from single use plastic frames.......these not only look and fell fantastic, they also sequester carbon.....making my footprint on earth just that much smaller.
